3rd- last day: Number 7 of the world and Copacabana-Feeling

Hey guys,

sorry about the late update. The time in Sao Paulo and Rio was to tight. But now I can give you an update about the last days at the worlds in Brasil.
On Sunday was my competition day, after nearly one week of waiting I was ready to fight. I entered the 70kg devision together with 24 high-class armwrestlers from all over the world. First I was happy that I didnt fought a guy from eastern Europe in the first round. My happiness disappeared when I saw my first opponent: Marlon Hicks from Canada. He is 10 times Canadian Champion and took the bronze medal in 2010 at the worlds. I beat him with a fast Top Roll and went to the second round. Than I won versus the Turkish champion Abdulkerim Gunduz after Referee´s Grip and entered the third round. The worldclass Bulgarian Hristo Delidzhakov was my opponent.Delidzhakov started with a fast hit in the hook, I blocked him and tried to open his arm, doing this I left the pad and got an elbow-foul. This happened twice so I fouled out. On the B-side I cam back and finally had to face Sergey Yemolchik for the quarter-final. The fight was similar to the round with Hristo. The guy from Kazachstan was faster but I blocked him and finally got two fouls while pulling back. At the end I became 7th, Hristo Delidzhakov won Gold and Sergey Yemolchik got 4th in front of Marlon Hicks.
After the tournament we had a great party with the German team and all international friends. On Monday our journey went on to Rio. Where we met the guys from Poland and visited the Jesus statue+ Sugar Loaf!
After a 30h on the road and in the air I returned save and sound to Germany on Friday.
